Here is a breakdown of our top bets for tonight’s Thursday Night Football game.
Las Vegas Raiders (-7, 43.5) vs Los Angeles Rams
The Rams were surprisingly competitive in Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks, and may have a new starting QB this week in Baker Mayfield, although that is unlikley to move the line. The Rams also don’t have their own first-round draft pick this draft, so there is no reason for them to tank.
There is still a sizable talent discrepancy between these rosters with Los Angeles missing so many key pieces, but the Raiders have underachieved pretty much all season. Also, the Rams have the worst ATS record in the NFL at 3-7-2, and the Raiders are 0-3 straight up as road favorites this season.
This line opened at +5.5 and has since been bet up by the general public. Since then, there has been some sharp money coming in on the Rams because seven points is just too much for this matchup. As a result of all this, we like the Rams +7.
