Below is a look at our experts’ best picks for tonight’s NHL games.
Boston Bruins (-160, 6) vs. Los Angeles Kings
There are a lot of reasons pointing toward this game being a defensive battle. The Kings have been playing great as of late, ranking fifth in expected goals against and fourth in high-danger scoring chances allowed over their last 10 games.
Now, they face the early front runner for the Vezina Trophy, Linus Ullmark, who sports an unbelieveable .939 save percentage so far this season. The fact the Kings rank 26th in shooting percentage over their last 10 games, isn’t going to help them out much in this one.
The Bruins have also struggled with their shooting as of late, coming in at 20th in that stat over the same stretch.
Good defense, great goaltending, and cold shooting all point to a game where goals are hard to come
We like the Under (6).
Pittsburgh Penguins (+105, 6) vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights are missing a ton of key pieces to their lineup, and the Penguins have been playing poorly as of late. There should be a lot of desperation out of the Penguins, who need to end this losing streak and should be able to get it done against a Vegas team missing several important players.
The Penguins’ lack of goal-scoring is concerning, but it’s going to be hard to keep Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel, and Evgeni Malkin off the board for much longer.
