This is an interesting matchup tonight both from a divisional rivalry perspective with the Bengals missing their best receiver in Ja’Marr Chase and from a wagering angle based on the line movement, or lack thereof.
The Bengals opened as a -3 favorite and the public jumped heavily on Cincinnati. However, despite the vast majority of bets laying the points, this line hasn’t really moved off Cincinnati -3. When it has moved to -3.5, the sharps have come in and laid heavy money on the Browns to move the line back to -3. As a result, the sportsbooks have been reluctant to move the line off of -3 despite the heavy public action on the Bengals. As of this morning, about only 41% of wagers are on the Browns +3, but 53% of the money is on them.
Regarding the total, it opened at 45 and proceeded to quickly rise to 47.5. Because of Ja’Marr Chase being out due to injury, the total fell back down to 45. The under is only receiving 33% of bets but 42% of money, a sharp contrarian bet discrepancy. The forecast calls for low 60s with light winds.
Our Experts Like: Browns +3, Under 45.
